Product Description

Resistor Cabinet

Resistor cabinets have a wide range of functions. In terms of principle, the resistors inside a resistor cabinet operate in accordance with Ohm’s Law. Ohm’s Law states that when current flows through a conductor, the current is directly proportional to the voltage across the conductor and inversely proportional to the resistance of the conductor. In a circuit, the resistors in the resistor cabinet act like barriers to limit and regulate electric current. This is similar to placing obstacles in a river; the flow rate and speed of the water (analogous to electric current) will change due to these obstacles (analogous to resistance). In terms of composition, a resistor cabinet usually consists of resistors, connecting busbars, insulators and other components. The resistor serves as the core part, and it is made of various materials. Common options include metallic resistance materials such as nichrome.

Product Overview

GGD type AC low-voltage switchgear is applicable to power plants, substations, industrial and mining enterprises and other scenarios. It is used in power distribution systems with AC 50Hz, rated operating voltage of 380V and rated current up to 3150A for electric energy conversion, distribution and control of power, lighting and power distribution equipment. This product features high breaking capacity, with a rated short-time withstand current of 50kA. It boasts flexible circuit schemes, convenient assembly, strong usability and innovative structure. It is one of the representative assembled fixed-panel switch cabinets in China. The product complies with GB7251.1 “Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies” and IEC60439 “Low-voltage switchgear assemblies”.

Operating Environmental Conditions

1. Ambient temperature: -5°C ~ +40°C; the average temperature within 24 hours shall not exceed +35°C.
2. Altitude: No more than 2000M.
3. Relative humidity: Not exceeding 50% at the maximum temperature of +40°C; higher relative humidity is permitted at lower temperatures (e.g. 90% at +20°C). Consideration shall be given to the possible occasional condensation caused by temperature changes.
4. The inclination of the equipment against the vertical plane after installation shall not exceed 5 degrees.
5. The equipment shall be installed in locations free from severe vibration and impact, and places where electrical components will not be corroded.
